In rare cases you find two artists that come together more than once, well in this case twice, and create absolute bangers.
Bud Kompany first had Munga on their track Wanalia Me and to be honest that song was so good. It allowed Munga to be his best self. The freestyle, off and on flow kind of rapper he is. He did justice on that hook and chorus.
Then comes Kila Weekend. This song once you listen in tells you these guys had fun in studio. Everything feels like everyone was having the most fun on the microphone.
The verses were well written, simple, funny and with a couple of quotable lyrics in there.
Whenever Munga gets on a track and does the hook, I always know that track is going to be good. He doesn’t overthink in his delivery and writing.
He is not complicated at all. Just give that guy a mic and probably some nyasore straight from Isukha, near the greatest town in East and Central Africa Stendikisa and he goes nuts.
I will give that track a 10/10.
