SUPREME DADA ALBUM:VERYL MKALI WAO

Now before I get to listen and analyse the album, I have a personal story about this artist.

Veryl and I met in 2018 at what is now Vinc on the Beat music studio. Both of us had been called there for awards. She was the best female rapper that year. I was the best Hip Hop blogger that year.

This was courtesy of Cheza KE who at that time had followed my work on Millennial Vybe a lot. Yes, I used to create content for Millennial Vybe, still working on it.

That afternoon we met at the studio and I think she’d come all the way from Nakuru. The studio was na huko Embakasi Kwa Ndege. I had come from Umoroto. A place I had stayed for five years.

Kwa mfuko I had Ksh30 left. I was, however, smiling and talking about music with her and DJ Stonefab who was behind Cheza KE.
When the time came to leave I wanted to be the first out ndio nipitie shortcut Flani Maplenka Beats alinionyeshaga but I thought why not continue the conversation with her.

We took a mat from Kwa Ndege back to the stage so she could get back to town.
All this while I knew I was probably not going to have something to eat because I had walked all the way from Umoja to Kwa Ndege.

When the driver asked for the fare she paid plus mine. Hivo ndio nilibaki na 30 bob yangu safi nikaenda pale Umoinner kula chapo choma. A real Supreme Dada!

Now that I have the album on my email, let me sample niwapatie the gist!
